Got an email from someone called Linda Stokes at SIRM Construction Ltd asking when our order will be finished!! I’ve never even heard of them or done any business with them. The message had terrible grammar and the 'to' and 'from' fields looked dodgy. Definitely a scam.

Just got an email from someone called Linda Stokes at Sirmconstruction. Looks like a scam to me - it’s actually the second one I’ve got from them. This one included a link to click on too. No decent company would send emails like that. Definitely a phishing attempt or something dodgy going on! The number they used is 07947935005.

Got an email from Linda Stokes asking me to ring 07947 935005 about some construction job. The wording and grammar seemed off for a legit business. Best to just delete that email.

Got an email from [email protected][###], signed by a Linda Stokes, with this phone number at the end. It said something like: "We'd like to use your expertise on a construction job starting in September. I checked out your website and think your company looks trustworthy and capable, so would like to consider you for the project. Can you confirm if you’re free then? I’ll send over the project details and plans after." Honestly, legitimate construction firms know exactly what equipment they need and don’t send vague messages like this.

I looked up the number that came through in an email I got recently. The email was supposedly from someone named Mike Bruce last week, but it smelt like a phishing attempt. It said something like: Good morning, we heard about your expertise with horses from cheshirehorse and got your contact. We’ve just bought an Arabian horse and need you to check its vaccinations and other requirements. There was a link with a photo and more info about the horse. The email ended with a phone number 07947935005 and signed off by a Rose. Definitely felt dodgy to me.

Got a really odd email that was quite confusing. Some bloke called Mike Bruce asked me for advice on vaccinating an Arab horse he recently got. Looks like he’s been reaching out to horse-related businesses from a Cheshire directory - no clue why he thought a feed supplement company would help with that. Definitely not clicking on any links he sent.

Similar to what others have said, got a phishing email saying I might get a job linked to this number as a contract. Feels really sketchy and risky, so watch out!

Got an email requesting a quote, had what looked like a Word doc attached. Opened it on my phone and it tried to open in Google Docs, asking me for my login details. Seemed really dodgy so I looked it up here first. Ended up deleting the email. Pretty sure it was one of those phishing attempts to steal my Google account info; really risky stuff!!

We run a construction business too, and they told us to only get in touch or send a quote in the evenings or at the weekend because they're busy with their full-time job. They don’t answer during the day.

We got this email and it's pretty unclear, so I looked up the number and saw loads of similar reviews. I just deleted it straight away! The message said something like ‘Got your details from the website, really interested in your products. Could you please send some info with prices, availability, and delivery details? Let me know asap. If easier, just send over your phone number.’ The number was 07947935005, signed by Daniel Lawrence. Seems a bit fishy to me.

If you get an email from someone you’ve never spoken to before asking you to download files just to see 'plans' for a quote, just delete it and block the sender immediately. It’s usually not safe.

This number showed up in an email about a job estimate. When I moved my mouse over the two links - RA & MS DRAWING and VIEW IN ONEDRIVE - the URLs were something like [#]jasaparalgal[###].id/wp-admin/hotmail/ and [#]senatorsweeney[###]/hotbox/hott/. Definitely looks like a dodgy scammer to me!!!

Someone posing as a chap named Richard Russell from Leech Group Services has been trying to reach out. The number appears to be linked to an email we received about a project for which they’re after a quote. However, when I tried to access the drawings and plans, the link redirects to what seems like a dodgy Hotmail login page. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
