Got a text claiming to be from HSBC, but I’ve never even banked with them. Reported it straight away to their phishing team, just in case.

Someone rang me up saying they were from HSBC, asking if I'd recently made a payment using my account. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with HSBC. They mentioned a payment was tried from a new account and asked if it was me. Suspicious if you ask me!
