Got a ring from this number and they just cut off straight away. Later, I got a message saying 'Hi, I’m Chloe'. Decided to block it.

I got a call from this number as well, first a phone ring then a text using my actual name (maybe they heard my voicemail). When I called back thinking it was from work, the person just kept hanging up on me. Later I got a message that said "how r u" followed by "can I ask u something plz" - clearly a youngster from the way they typed it! The next message was really odd so I’m not going to share it here. I’ve blocked the number now and reported it to the cops today. Fingers crossed they track down whoever it is!

I got a message from a new number saying ‘hey, this is my new phone number’. I replied asking who it was, and the person said ‘clare’. When I asked ‘clare who?’, they just said ‘the blond one’. So yeah, I blocked the number straight away.

Got a text saying just ‘hello’. I replied asking who it was since I didn’t recognise the number and usually don’t share my digits around. They said they were Andy and were trying to reach someone called Pete, probably fishing for my real name. Told them I’d block their number. Lately, I’ve had quite a few dodgy texts and calls from random numbers, so I’m not risking it.
