I’ve been getting calls from a strange number claiming to have my mum’s address and name. They asked me to link my account and wanted to know my balance, which I refused to share. Then they said someone was trying to withdraw £86 from my account. Today, the same number rang me again after I told them to stop, this time saying someone was attempting to take £256 for a person named George. I’ve checked with my bank both times and nothing like that has happened. If they call again, I’m definitely going to take it up further.

I got a call from a lady on my phone claiming to be from Amazon, talking about a suspicious £80 purchase. I told her I wasn’t sure Amazon made phone calls like that. She stopped for a moment but kept on talking. I then said if there was any issue, I’d handle it myself and hung up.

I didn’t pick up the initial call cause I didn’t know the number. But then, literally like 20 seconds later, they rang me again. I finally answered and the line just went dead right away.
