Total rip off. Got a call claiming to be from my bank's fraud department, but it showed up as a strange mobile number I didn’t recognise. I picked up thinking maybe it was someone I know who'd switched numbers. Then an automated message said a suspicious payment from my Visa/Debit card was blocked. It asked me to press 1 to speak to the fraud team. I didn't press any buttons and instead rang the bank straight away using the number on the back of my card. They told me it was a scam, especially since genuine bank calls wouldn’t come from a mobile phone.
