Got a dodgy text saying it was from Barclays asking me to check a £289.99 Argos payment. Thing is, I’ve never even had a Barclays account. They gave me an 0800 number to ring if I didn’t know about the charge, but that number’s not from Barclays either. Turns out it’s linked to some joinery company in Wrexham from a while back. Weird stuff.
