Today, 21 April 2026, both my landlines got a ring from someone claiming to be Microsoft. My husband picked up the first time and got a woman who was clearly reading off a script. He politely told her she wasn’t actually from Microsoft and ended the call. But then she rang again! This time she was talking about some security issue and said Microsoft was going to block our software licence unless we took the computer to their office in Reading. Honestly, it all sounded quite intimidating to me.
