I'm convinced any number starting with 079... is probably a premium line, so I wouldn’t bother ringing it back for sure! Missed a call from one recently, and honestly, it smelt like one of those dodgy scam things. What I do is take the first three digits, try calling those on their own - obviously they won’t connect - then block those three. That way, you can avoid getting these annoying calls again!

I'm fairly certain any number starting with 079... is a premium rate one! So there's no way I'd be ringing it back. As for whether it’s a scam (I didn’t answer), it seems like typical rubbish to me! My advice? Just block it. Put in the first three digits, call those non-existent numbers, then block all of them. That way they won’t be able to contact you anymore!

These lot keep ringing me up pretending they're from the benefits office in the UK. They always ask for me by name, which is a bit creepy. I've blocked their numbers but somehow they manage to call from new mobile numbers the very next day. Proper annoying!

Got another one of those scam calls today, third this week already. This time it was a woman with an Asian accent, said her name was Suzanne and claimed she was from Benefits UK. When I asked where she was calling from, she said South East Asia. Honestly, I can’t understand what UK benefits would be linked to somewhere over there. I just ended the call straight away.

Been getting calls non-stop from this number saying they’re from the benefits office. Had about four calls back-to-back just yesterday. When I told the bloke it sounded like a scam, he asked how I knew it was a scam but never actually said where he was calling from. So, I looked up the number after and saw plenty of similar comments about it. He said he’d call me again and I just told him he’d get the same answer.
