Got a text claiming it was from HSBC about adding a new payee. It said something about Mrs K Adams with an account number and sort code, then asked me to click a link if I didn’t make the request. Definitely felt dodgy to me, like a scam tryna get info or something. I just ignored it and didn’t touch the link. Be careful folks, these fake messages look real but they’re not.

I recently noticed a new payee added to my HSBC account listed as K Adams. Has anyone else seen this? It’s a bit worrying as I don’t remember setting this up. Just thought I’d check if it’s some sort of scam or something legit. Let me know if you’ve dealt with anything similar.
