I got a call from someone claiming to be Visa, saying there was a £600 charge at Amazon and asking me to press a button to talk to them. I hung up immediately. It felt dodgy from the start since Visa never rings customers directly - they’d just notify your bank. Even though I knew it was likely a scam, hearing the message really unsettled me, so I rang my bank's fraud team on 159 just to be safe.

This number came up flagged by my phone company as maybe a scam. I let it go to voicemail and when whoever called heard my message, they just put the phone down.
