I got a message just like the ones here, saying a new payee called Mrs K Adams with the number ending 1876 was added. It said if I didn’t set this up, I should click a link to secure my account right away (#Jhali-secure-my-online-banking[###]). I don’t even use Halifax banking, so I figured it’s definitely a scam.

Received a text from that number and I have no Halifax account at all. It said something about a new recipient being added, Mrs K Adams with something ending in 1876. Then it told me if I didn't approve it, I should click a link to 'secure my account' or something. Smells fishy to me!

Got a message from Halifax saying I supposedly set up a recipient and if not, to click a link. Feels like a total scam to me since I've never done anything with Halifax.

Got a message claiming to be from Halifax about setting up a new payee or something. It included a link to confirm it. Seems dodgy to me, I’ve never done anything with Halifax anyway. Definitely feels like a scam.
