I received a pre-recorded voicemail warning me that I was implicated in fraudulent activity regarding HMRC. It went on to say, ‘You’re on the brink of facing hefty legal actions’ and urged me to press 1 to prevent it from escalating. Naturally, I chose to hang up instead.
