I reached out regarding a Fiat 500 I spotted on eBay, listed by the member (heworethe10), item number 251515196304. He told me to hop on a train up to Edinburgh, assuring me he'd meet me there. He even had the audacity to promise he'd cover my fare back if I didn't fancy the car, as he was so sure I'd want it. So, I spent £104 on a four-hour train ride to Edinburgh. Upon arrival, there was no sign of him. I tried ringing his mobile incessantly with no luck. After waiting for two hours in vain, I had no choice but to fork out £212 for a return ticket due to peak pricing. As a pensioner, that total of £326 really takes a toll on my finances, not to mention the stress and wasted day on the train. It's incredibly disheartening to realise how naive I was to place my trust in someone.
