This was the fifth call I got back to back, all from different numbers but clearly from the same place, as they kept referring to my earlier calls. I was quite blunt with the person on the line, telling them to quit bothering me since I wasn’t sharing any info. Eventually, they did stop ringing… Usually when you call their bluff, they back off, but these lot were persistent. At least I managed to waste their time and hopefully stopped them from pestering others. I threw them a bunch of made-up info and they gobbled it up, thinking it was genuine!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Amazon Prime saying my subscription was up and that they’d taken £95 from my card. Thing is, I’ve never even had Amazon Prime or used their site before! They asked me to give them my card info so they could supposedly “refund” me for the error!!

Got a call today on my home phone from a strange number at about 3:06pm on 29/11/2023. Didn’t bother to leave any voicemail, which makes me think it might be one of those scam calls.

Got a dodgy phone call trying to trick me about some weird charge on my visa card. Definitely a scam!

Someone rang up my office saying she was working for Microsoft and that there was something wrong with my computer. But we have our own IT department here that sorts out all tech problems. It was obvious she was trying to scam someone who might not be very good with computers.

Just got a call about 5 minutes ago from someone saying they were with Sky, something to do with my internet. The line was really bad and his accent made it even harder to understand - sounded like he might've been from India. When I told him I couldn’t hear properly, he just hung up abruptly! I’ve blocked the number now. By the way, I’ve only been at this new place a few months, so it’s a bit worrying that they already had my number!

At 7.43 in the morning, this caller jolted us awake, and that was just the start since there were 8 calls all before 9am. He claimed he was from Microsoft.

I keep gettin calls from some loft insulation firm, even though I've told em loads of times I haven't got a loft. I'm 91 and not well at all, and this morning they woke me up right at 9:30. Yesterday I asked them what part of "I don't have a loft" they didn't get, and the operator just asked when I last had it checked! Can someone please make them stop? Somebody called pretending to be from Sky about a “security problem” but sounded totally dodgy. Felt like a scam to me.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Microsoft, but their English was really off. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

There was a bit of silence, then a soft female voice came on... “Dear customer…” I hung up at 12:43 pm. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

I didn't answer the call at first, so I decided to ring back. Got a message saying "Line not currently available" straight away. Knew right away it was some sort of scam, so I just blocked the number on my phone.
