I picked up the phone, only for the person on the other end to hang up straightaway. Definitely one of those pesky spam calls.

I had a run-in with one of these scammers the other day, and honestly, they're full of themselves. When I questioned them about scamming older and vulnerable folks, they got all smug and patronising. One bloke went on about how while ordinary working people are just having a simple meal, they’ll soon be chilling on some Miami beach, knocking back cocktails and feasting on fancy lobster dishes. They bragged about raking in millions and living it up, especially now when everyone else struggles with the cost of living. Absolutely infuriating. 🤬
