So, I got a call from someone saying they were with BT’s tech support. Thing is, I don’t even use BT or Openreach for my internet, but I kept that quiet. Then they asked if I was the primary internet user here, and I just said yes to keep them talking. They claimed there was unusual activity on my network and that my IP had shifted from private to public. I played along and said I’d made my IP public. They just hung up after that. I reckon if I’d gone along with it, they were gonna try making me run some dodgy commands to plant malware on my computer.
