Got a phone call from this number saying I had some kind of software issue and asked me to switch on my computer, which I don’t even have. I played along for a bit, pressing buttons like they wanted. After around 5 minutes, I think they caught on I wasn’t buying it, shouted a load of abuse at me and then just ended the call.

TOTAL RIP-OFF! Definitely not Microsoft. I work in IT, and loads of my clients have rung me up after getting calls from this bloke... some were daft enough to hand over loads of dosh to him to get rid of a fake virus 😒 Microsoft would never ring you up like that! Felt good to tell the guy exactly what I thought, even if I reckon he couldn’t have cared less 😡

Hello, this number has been ringing me a lot recently. Some guy with an Indian accent was asking questions about Microsoft computers, which felt really sketchy to me, so I just ended the call. Now he's calling at the most annoying times!

This number called my husband who’s got a disability. I picked up and said hello, but there was just silence before the line just cut off. I tried calling back and a voicemail came on saying his phone had been taken over and it wasn’t actually him who made the call.

Got a call earlier from a guy who sounded Indian, asked for me by name right off the bat. Like a lot of these calls, he claimed to be from Microsoft and said there was an issue with my PC that needed fixing immediately. I wasn’t convinced so I questioned him about where he was calling from and how he got my info. After I told him my computer seemed fine, he just suddenly ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Same here, got a bunch of calls that were silent when I picked up. Then on the last one, a bloke said there was something wrong with my laptop. I told him I don't even have a computer and he just ended the call.

I got a call from this number last week but didn’t pick up. Later, I rang them back, and their voicemail said that someone might be using my information and offered to help. It all sounded pretty fishy to me. Honestly, best not to answer or ring them back.

In just two hours I got two calls from this number. Both were pushing some computer tech support stuff, pretty pushy too. At 76, and feeling like a teenager again, it all comes across as quite intimidating. I’m definitely putting this number on block.

I got a call from someone who told me if I didn’t switch on my computer, they’d block my IP address and I wouldn’t be able to use the Internet for the next two days. I just ended the call.

I rang the number back and some bloke said his number must have been taken over by a hacker who’s been making calls. When they first rang me, a guy with an Indian accent claimed he was from Microsoft, so I just ended the call straight away. If they try again, I’m ready this time and I won’t be holding back - won’t be a nice chat!
