The caller insisted on speaking with my manager but became rather unhinged when I informed him that my manager was currently preoccupied in a meeting. He accused me of dishonesty and distorted my words quite remarkably. The individual claimed to be in conversation with a police officer, a solicitor, and even a judge, and issued threats of legal action without disclosing any specifics regarding the matter at hand. He engaged with several of my colleagues before ultimately being put through to our manager. However, as soon as the manager inquired about his identity, he abruptly ended the call, suggesting they could convene face-to-face. It was rather unsettling how much he appeared to know about our organisation's operations. Despite our requests for additional information, such as names, reference numbers, or the nature of his complaint, he remained tight-lipped. We even asked to be put through to the police officer he claimed to have on the line, but he simply sidestepped the question.
