This woman, who said she was from "BT OpenReach," rang me up asking if I could check my internet speed. She told me it should be faster and wanted me to type something into my Google browser, which I don’t even use. When I questioned why I’d need to use Google for it, she said they had to update my router’s firmware. I told her I didn’t use BT and asked who gave her permission to call me. She then said my provider had asked her to get in touch. When I pressed her again, she just hung up on me. After that, I couldn’t make any calls until I unplugged the phone and plugged it back in. Took me a bit to figure out!

Got a call on my personal mobile from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from Sky. I’m in Woodbridge, Suffolk, and I just blocked the number and reported it right away.

Some bloke with an Indian accent called me from a mobile saying he was from Sky. Sounded a bit dodgy to me so I blocked him right away and reported the number. I'm based in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
