I received a call purporting to be from "BT OpenReach," where the caller, a lady of Asian descent, inquired if I was aware of how to check my broadband speed. She then insisted it should be better than what I was currently experiencing. When I hesitated, she urged me to enter some details into a (non-existent) Google browser. Upon questioning the rationale behind using Google, she stated it was necessary to update my router's firmware. I pressed her further about who had instructed them to get in touch, reminding her that BT isn't my provider, and she rather unconvincingly claimed it was my actual provider that had made the request. When I confronted her once more, she abruptly disconnected the call. To top it off, my phone refused to dial out for a while-only rectifying itself after I unplugged and re-plugged it.

Got a call on my personal mobile from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from Sky. I’m in Woodbridge, Suffolk, and I just blocked the number and reported it right away.

I received a call from an Indian gentleman who said he was representing Sky, yet he contacted me from a personal mobile number. Quite suspicious, if you ask me. I've decided to block the number and report him. This took place while I was in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
