i got a call from this number earlier. it was an automated voice saying something about tax fraud in my name and telling me to press 1. obviously i hung up right away and blocked them.

On the evening of 5th October, I got a text from this number saying something about a ‘halifax alert’ and that my account was linked to some new device. The message told me to check out a site called hifax-infosecured(####] if it wasn’t me, but i don’t even have an account with Halifax. I never clicked the link or anything.

I got a text from this number claiming to be a Halifax alert, saying I'd linked a new device to my account, which I definitely hadn’t done. It then told me to visit halifax-infosecuredi### if it wasn’t me. Luckily, this site I use actually flagged it as a phishing attempt, so I didn’t click any links. I was a bit caught off guard and normally I’d spot these scams, but without that alert, I might’ve ended up on a dodgy site. Properly risky stuff.
