Got a recorded call saying my Visa card was charged £799 by Amazon, then it just hung up. Sounds like a total scam to me, probably designed to scare people into calling back. I marked it as harassment - who knows if calling back could lead to trouble? It’s really awful because the ones who get tricked are often the most vulnerable. Anyone sensible enough to use a reverse phone lookup like this probably isn’t going to fall for it. Wish there was more done to shield those who don’t have the means to defend themselves. Bet you feel the same if you’re still reading this!
