Got a call on a landline with a London area code, but I couldn't track down any details on that exact number. Though there seem to be quite a few close variations reported lately, differing by just a digit or two. Looks like a lot of these come from a call centre linked to some kind of claim law firm, doing the rounds with insurance or accident claim offers. Has anyone else picked up and found out what they’re about? I’m using a blocking app I found here which lets me block whole number ranges - very useful in cases like this!

I got a call from someone who somehow knew all my info and told me I'd won some 10 Euromillions tickets or maybe a grand. I just ended the call straight away, sounded dodgy to me.

This morning I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Secure Home Appliances and said she was calling from White City, London. She told me I needed to get insurance for my electronics or they’d be disconnected. When I asked her for their website, she just told me to look it up on Google. I searched and found a business with the same name in San Fernando, California. When I brought up the possibility of it being a scam, she got quite irate.
