I had a rather dodgy call, it felt like a scam or a spam attempt. They rang me just prior to 9 in the morning on a Monday, and when I answered, there was utter silence on the other end. Quite suspicious, to say the least!

Got a message from this number saying I’d been near someone with Omicron and telling me to get a test kit via their link. Instead of clicking it on my phone, I typed it into my laptop to check it out. It showed a site that looked kinda like the NHS one, but when I visited the real NHS website, it was completely different. The link they sent was nhs.uktestkits-pcr.com and I’m certain it’s a scam.

On the 6th of June 2022, I got a couple of texts saying I’d been near someone who tested positive for the omicron variant of coronavirus and to get a test kit from them. Thing is, I’m stuck at home recovering from five surgeries at Kings, and I haven’t really been out, so it’s super unlikely I’ve come into contact with anyone who’s got covid!

This can't be the NHS as the number's a mobile one, not a proper NHS contact. When I didn't answer, they said I'd been near someone with omicron and needed to enter my info to get a test kit. The link they sent looked like it was from the NHS, but the website address definitely wasn't NHS at all.
