5 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, started with a recorded message saying I was gonna be arrested for fraud and to press 1. When I did, they put me through to someone who sounded Indian, telling me I had to pay up or they'd send a warrant. As soon as I said I knew it was bogus, they just hung up. HMRC would never contact you like that! Don’t hand over any details, just tell them you know it’s a con. And seriously, don’t ring them back or answer if you don’t know the number - they keep switching numbers and try loads of different tricks.HMRC5 yearsGot a dodgy message claiming it was from HMRC about a tax refund.
