Got a call from a bloke with a thick South Asian accent who said he was from my (named) bank - bit of a cheeky guess, right? He told me they'd taken about £379 from my account, or something close to that. Then he asked if I’d given the go-ahead for the withdrawal. I told him no, but then I pointed out his awful English and said he sounded like a con artist! That’s when he hung up. BT didn’t even offer a callback option, so I reckon they used a fake number. Proper lowlife scammer.
