Got a call from someone pretending to be about my national insurance, saying it needs sorting out. The number was 07940416137. Just a heads up, hmrc never ring you up, they always send letters if it’s really important. Definitely sounded like a scam!

On Friday 18th December around 8:20am, I got a robo call saying my NI number was stolen and involved in crimes, and I needed to press a key or else my national insurance would be blocked. I hung up straight away. Apparently, the National Crime Agency is looking into this scam. I tried ringing back a bit later, but the line was already dead.

Got a call from this number early in the morning, which really threw me off because even my son never manages to wake me up that early! Just wanted to find out what they were after at such an ungodly hour.

I keep getting these quiet calls from this number no matter when it is! probs some kind of automatic dialler machine or whatever.
