Got a text from +447940433239 on 04/01/2021 around 4:45pm saying: “Dear customer, your recent payment to Virgin failed. Please update your payment details here: [#]virginpaymentfailure[###]” This is definitely a scam. I always pay Virgin by direct debit and my last payment went through fine on 29/12/2010. Don’t trust messages like this!

That number’s a scam from False Sky, don’t trust it at all. Avoid clicking on any link or doing what they tell you, it’s just a trick.

Today I got a scam text from this number (+44 7940 433239), and last Tuesday I received the same message from another one (+44 7377 763980). Both said something like: “SKY: We couldn't process your recent bill payment. Please update your details to avoid extra fees.” They had a link in the text. Be careful and don’t click on it!
