Got a message from HSBC saying I'd sent £240 to some bloke called MRC Jones and to cancel right away if it wasn’t me by clicking a link. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with HSBC, so I didn’t bother going on the site. Pretty clear that’s a scam.

definitely a dodgy one, banks dont send texts from 07 numbers, so i just blocked and deleted it straight away

Got a text that said it was from EE, but I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. Be careful out there!

definitely not from hsbc, total scam alert. dont go near the link, just bin the message straight away.

I did an online payment to First Direct, but then I got a weird text on my phone from HSBC saying something like "a payment request has been flagged for further review" dated 01/02/21. It told me to check my dashboard with some sort of ID number. Bit confusing and makes me wonder if it’s legit or a scam.
