Got a call on my home phone from an automated lady voice warning me about some suspicious charges on my card - she mentioned £199 from Amazon and £400 from some other place. The message said to press 1 to approve or 2 to talk to someone to cancel them. I was onto it straight away, knew it was dodgy. Ended the call and immediately blocked the number. Had a quick look at my banking app and there was no sign of any of those transactions at all. Honestly, these scammers must reckon we’re total mugs!
