Some bloke called claiming to be from HSBC's fraud team said my account had been hacked and that they needed to cancel my card. He gave me a reference number and then began discussing a transaction. I didn’t like how he kept grilling me, so I told him I wasn’t going to share any personal info. He then talked over me, which really annoyed me. So I said I didn’t believe he was legit and cut the call. I phoned my bank right away, and they confirmed it was a scam. I was glad I didn’t give away any details. Just a heads up - these scammers can sound pretty convincing!
