In October, I got quite an unsettling message from this number that included my name. It was on a new phone, and I'd only shared my number with five individuals. I previously commented on another website about this and saw someone mention that this might be linked to a prank text service. I’m curious to find out if anyone else has had a similar experience with this number, especially if you also received texts containing personal details.

I got a text from someone claiming my husband was cheating, even gave his name and a restaurant in Bluewater. Total rubbish. I looked into it and the number’s a pay-as-you-go on EE, no idea who it is. The number’s gone dead now, so no chance of tracking them. Really don’t get why people do stuff like this to random folks. Hope they get what’s coming to them. Proper troll behaviour.

So, I'm here in Australia and someone in my family got a text from this number claiming I said awful stuff about them. No idea who this person is, but I'm keen to figure out who’s behind this. If they’ve got an issue with me, they should just say it to my face!!!

Hey everyone, just a heads up, this number isn’t tied to an individual. It’s actually connected to a business that provides prank texting services. So if you get a message from it, it’s probably just from that company, not a real person.

I’m not sure how this number ended up tied to this, but I don’t see any link between us and the person involved. Maybe it was sent to me by mistake, which would be quite the strange coincidence, or maybe someone new has taken over this number. I haven’t heard a thing since that message, so fingers crossed it stays quiet and you don't get any more weird stuff either. Have a great New Year!

Honestly, no threats were made towards me. The text was all about my other half and the envy directed at what I own (seriously jealous vibes). But just throwing this out there - do the names Sarah, Patricia (or Trisha), or Melanie ring any bells? I’ve got zero ties to Scotland or Glasgow, not one bit! So it’s gotta be someone who’s familiar with both me and you, and they seem to have loads of info about us, or at least it looks that way.

I got a letter that was sent from Glasgow. Although I do have relatives in Manchester, they wouldn't know anything about what's in the letter since we’re not that close. The letter arrived back in October, then I got a text about it in early December. I can’t really find any link between your text and the letter I got, unless maybe this number is used by anyone wanting to stay anonymous. The message warned it would spill the details of the letter to my son - but didn’t mention him by name. Maybe the text wasn’t meant for me, but it all just feels a bit too coincidental.

Totally with you on this, the person messaging is definitely a woman. Her words are nasty, like she’s trying to stir up trouble in someone’s relationship and she seems really jealous. I’ve got a few names in mind of folks near me who might be behind it, but since your messages contained specific family details and even my kids’ names, I reckon it’s got to be someone we both know. Plus, they seem to have ties both here and up in Scotland and Manchester.

I've got a few guesses about who it might be from my own circle, but if your messages included actual family members' names like mine did, especially my kids, then it has to be someone we both know who has links both here and up in Manchester. Plus, whenever I call back, it just goes straight to O2's voicemail service.

Im a guy, but the way the message was written makes me think it might be from a woman. Feels like this might be some sort of shared "mailbox" phone, used by different people to keep who's behind it hush-hush. Considering your location along with what the texts were about, I can't really see any clear link between our situations. I did try one of those phone tracking sites, but it didn’t show any info for this number.

I'm eager to uncover the identity of the individual connected to this phone number. I've been on the receiving end of some rather envious messages that touch on my family, my possessions, and even my travels. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I've had the same phone number for over a decade now without any changes, so when I get calls like this it’s clearly someone stirring up problems. They seem obsessed with causing drama between couples and families. It’s like they’re really jealous about the time I spend travelling abroad and how big my home is. Definitely a weird and toxic situation!

I’m actually not from Manchester at all - I live near Stirling, around Dunblane and Bridge of Allan. A mate from Glasgow got a mysterious letter too, and it had some really detailed stuff about their family. The message I got seemed like it was connected to that letter somehow. Do pay as you go numbers get recycled often? It’s odd because the messages came really close together, like between the third and fourth ones.
