Got a message saying I’ve recently been near someone with the Omicron variant and that I need to order a test kit from https://my-pcr-testkit.com. It came through at 2:36 in the morning from a number starting with +44, so it’s likely coming from overseas. I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam trying to trick people into handing over personal details or cash. Thankfully, I’ve already got enough test kits at home.

I didn't get a call, but a text popped up saying I'd been near someone with the omicron variant. The message included a link to book a PCR test, and it looked just like the official NHS website. Foolishly, I entered all my info and even paid £1 for postage before I started feeling uneasy. I rang my bank immediately, cancelled my card, and updated my details. When I tried the link one more time, it just showed a blank page - totally a scam for sure.
