Beware of TalkTalk calls pretending to sort out a cheaper pension broadband plan for my elderly parents. They asked for card details and even the PIN, which sounded fishy to me. Better be cautious with these calls!

Got a text saying "Hi mum, I've lost my phone and am using my mate's. Can you WhatsApp me on 07761593877? It's urgent." Total scam, obviously. Didn't bother replying and just blocked the number straight away.

There was all this weird heavy breathing on the line, so I just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from this number but had no clue who it was. When I tried ringing back, it wouldn’t even let me through. I’m pretty sure it’s either some kind of scam or just plain spam.

Does anyone have any idea who rang? They didn’t drop a voicemail or anything. It’s annoying that some UK companies call but never leave messages. Feels like it could just be an automated system randomly dialling numbers.
