Still, they somehow knew my name and said they were ringing about a PPI claim.7 yearsIf the number flashing up on your screen looks completely unfamiliar, chances are it’s a cold call. Best thing to do? Don’t pick up. Afterwards, just block the caller and you’re done with it. They mentioned sending a cheque but said I'd need to visit a bank to cash it or something. It felt off, like a scam. They refused to say which company they were from and their accent sounded really foreign.
