I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, speaking with an Asian accent. When I asked where they were calling from, they gave me an address that’s actually quite close to where I live. They told me my PC was in danger because my IP was supposedly linked to money laundering. I told them I expected the police to get in touch soon and that I’d handle it then. They insisted the police wouldn’t be involved, which I straight up told them was nonsense. They didn’t seem to like me pushing back and just hung up on me.
