Got a message from someone saying “hi mum I’ve got a new number” but it’s clearly a scam. I’m actually the dad to my daughters, not their son. Total nonsense!

Got a text from this number saying "Hi Mum" and asking me to save it as a new contact. Definitely a scam, don’t trust it!

Got a text from this number saying "Hey mum, this is my new number, add it to your contacts". Thing is, Im not anyone's mum and I’ve got no kids. I’ve come across this kind of scam before, so if you get a message like this, it’s best to ring your kids straight away to be sure.
