Got a call from some Indian call centre folks claiming to be Amazon Security, telling me there was a dodgy purchase on my account. I checked Amazon myself and there was nothing suspicious. They wanted me to install some software on my PC, saying they were based in London, but the noise in the background gave it away that they definitely weren’t. When I said no way to running their program, they just went "your choice" and then just hung up. Proper scam.
