Today, I received a rather alarming text which read: "NHS: We’ve identified you as a contact of an individual who recently tested positive for Omicron. Please ensure you book a home test kit: ..." Feeling a bit anxious, I clicked through to the website on my laptop. To my dismay, I encountered a message stating something like "NGINX installed" or words to that effect, and I quickly hurried away from the page before anything further happened. Fingers crossed that no malicious software latched onto my device. Fortunately, nothing seems to have popped up in my downloads folder. This is my first experience with being 'pinged,' and I've no clue how long it typically takes for official notifications to be sent out post-contact, assuming they still send them at all. It’s been four days since I ventured out to get my second booster jab! Simply put, it’s a despicable scam, to put it mildly.
