In the early hours, about 3.55 a.m., on Wednesday 27th April 2022, I got a text claiming I’d been around someone who tested positive for Omicron. Because I’d been at two hospitals the week before, it seemed believable, so I got caught up in the scam. I ordered a testing kit and paid for its delivery using my credit card. Thankfully, I had to cancel my Barclaycard soon after, but it turned out the scammer messed up and put the wrong shipping address, so Barclaycard refused the payments in the end.

Beware of Sanako Service Ltd - it’s a dodgy firm registered in the Marshall Islands. They also run several other shady businesses selling stuff like PCR tests, holiday properties, life insurance, live ammo, and cryptocurrencies. Some of their sites are coin-mining-farm.com, riveraammunition.com, finvestings.com and mindmining.com. They often use fake phone numbers that appear to be from the UK to trick people. It’s rumoured they move their dirty money through ClearJunction.com. Make sure you report any scam calls from them to the FCA and Action Fraud UK.

Definitely a dodgy number. I got a message just before 3 in the morning saying something like "NHS Test and Trace has flagged you as someone who came into contact with a person who tested positive for Omicron. Please order a PCR test kit here: pcr-tracing-people.com" with a link attached (which I didn’t click on). Pretty sure it’s just a trick to steal your personal info and banking details.

For starters, the NHS never said it was Omicron specifically - just Covid in general. Secondly, there's no way they'd tell me to buy from some dodgy site like that (unless it’s another one of Boris’s dodgy contracts going to his mates). Total scam if you ask me.

Didn’t include any link though. NHS Test & Trace doesn’t even operate where I am, and it’s shut anyway since it only covers England - I haven’t been there recently.
