Got a message from someone called Simon just after 5am, totally woke me up! He claimed he tried to drop off a parcel for a family member too but they weren’t home (which they definitely were). The text asked me to fix the delivery by clicking a link that looked like it came from Royal Mail. I was expecting a package, but not from the post! Pretty obvious scam to me, especially since they couldn’t even spell "reschedule" properly!

So, Simon tried to drop off a parcel but I wasn’t in. I order loads of things online, so getting a message from Royal Mail wasn’t unusual. I figured I’d check the redelivery slip once I got back. When I finally did, I went online to set a new delivery time and next thing you know, it was asking for my card info. Nah, that’s a nope from me, Simon!

Watch out, this is a total scam. I got a message saying "Simon tried to drop off your package today but nobody answered." Nearly got me since I am waiting for an Amazon parcel today. The link looks like it’s from the Royal Mail site, proper official style and all. If you’re not sure, just check the site where you placed your order to see if it’s actually shipped. And if you want to arrange a re-delivery, do that through the seller’s website, not that dodgy link.

Today I got a text saying Simon tried to deliver a parcel but no one was in, and to reschedule I needed to visit a website: https://local-depot-help[.]com[.]. They then asked for my Date of Birth and bank card info to pay £1.20 which instantly made me wary, so I stopped. What threw me off was I was expecting a birthday present for my grandson, so I almost trusted it. Also, the message came at a weird time - 05:36 in the morning! Looking back, it’s clear it was a scam text, and I nearly got caught, even though they already know my name, address, phone and birthday.

Just got a text at about 12:10am from this number, saying some bloke called Simon tried to drop off a parcel but I wasn’t in. It had a link to what looked like the 'PostOffice' site but I didn’t touch it at all - pretty sure it’s a scam!

Gotta admit, they are persistent. Simon came around twice trying to drop off a parcel I supposedly owe £1.99 for. I was home both times, but it’s like he’s got some sort of invisibility cloak on - never once caught sight of him.

The scary part was that I was actually expecting a delivery, and somehow they knew exactly which company it was coming from! Even their website looked totally legit, like the real post office site.
