Somebody called saying they needed an engineer to come check my loft insulation because of some supposedly new government rules. When I asked more about it, they dodged my questions and then just hung up on me out of the blue. Feels like a sneaky trick to get someone in the house and then try to sell them more insulation. What really grinds my gears is when they start with “I’m from the government, here to help” - seriously, that’s the quickest way to make me hang up.
