Got a message that sounded like it was from the Chinese Embassy but it was obviously pre-recorded. Then it switched to Mandarin, which I didn’t understand at all. Pretty weird!

I got a text saying I've been near someone with COVID and that I need to order a test. Weirdly enough, the link they sent actually sent me to the NHS site. Not sure why, but at least it was legit.

Got two calls from these lot claiming I’d been in some accident a few years back. When I asked what accident they were on about, the bloke just said they had a rough time period but no details. I told him I haven’t been in any accident and to remove me from their calling list. I’m so fed up with these annoying calls about made-up car crashes, PPI claims, and bogus bank fees. Seriously, how do they even get hold of our numbers? Now I just block any strange numbers that come through.

Had a really unpleasant call from a woman who sounded like she was following a rigid script, no room to say no about booking an install for the latest smart meters. I told her I wasn’t interested, thanked her, and then she insisted on knowing why. I just repeated that I wasn’t keen, and she just cut me off without even a goodbye. Feels a bit dodgy to me, maybe a scam or EDF trying to push their sales team to meet targets, so they’re rushing through calls without any manners. I’m curious if they’ll ring again - kinda looking forward to it, to be honest.
