Got the usual thing again. Someone messaged me saying "hey mum" and wanted me to save their number and reply back. They said their phone got wrecked by water and then asked if I could send them cash. I replied but was smart enough not to send any dosh or share my bank info. This is the fourth time I’ve faced one of these dodgy scams. Proper annoying.

Just like loads of others here, I got a call from someone pretending to be my son or daughter, saying their phone got water damaged. When I asked who was calling, they messaged back saying it was my eldest and that they’d accidentally dropped their phone in the loo! Of course, they never gave a proper name. Totally dodgy scam, so I blocked the number and wiped it off my phone straight away.

Got a message saying "hey mum" like it was from my daughter, all acting like her phone had got wet and to contact her on this new number! Felt a bit dodgy to me.

Got a message saying "Hi mum, my phone got wet so this is my temporary number. Please reply and save it x" but it’s a total scam, because my kids’ phones are all working perfectly! Don’t fall for it.

Got a text saying something like, "Hi mum, my phone got water damaged so I’m using this new number for now." Then they asked if I could send some money because of some problem. Didn’t seem right since I haven’t had any issues with my kids’ phones at all. Pretty sure it was just a scam!
