I got a text that read; BARCLAYS: Your One Time Password is 083621 for a transaction of 622.71GBP to Halfords - Ref: JL9210A. If you didn’t authorise this, ring our fraud department on 0330 165 8876. If you get something like this, don’t ring back or share any details. Just block the number straight away! That’s exactly what I did.

Got a text from this number saying it was Barclays bank with a one-time code for a purchase of £677 at Halfords. The message said if I didn’t make the purchase to call 0330 165 8876. Thing is, I don’t have any account with Barclays and I certainly haven’t been to Halfords recently. Seems to me it’s a scam trying to trick people into giving away their bank info. Be careful!
