Got a sketchy text, better not click on it.

Got a message from this number: 07932 834267, saying I was due a tax rebate and to visit hmrc gov-uk-update.org or something like that. It feels dodgy to me, so I wouldn’t get in touch. If you’re unsure, just ring the official tax office straight away. Sounds like a scam to me!

Got a call saying there’s a HMRC refund waiting for me, total scam. Just blocked the number and got rid of it straight away.

This is TOTAL scam! They don’t text you, only send these weird letters. Mine said something like hmrc: according to their records you got a tax refund waiting from 20/01/21. Then they tell you to click a dodgy link gov.uk-confirm.org to check your claim. Absolute rubbish, watch out!
