Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from Amazon, saying I’d bought a coffee machine the previous evening. I told him I hadn’t ordered anything like that. Then he insisted he could prove it, and shortly after, I got a text supposedly from Amazon with a one-time password. I checked my Amazon account straightaway and there were no recent purchases at all. He then claimed it was some kind of “hidden order from Germany,” which I said was nonsense, and he just hung up on me. Pretty obvious he was fishing for my Amazon login info, especially since I never asked for that OTP message.
