This bloke said he was from Amazon Prime customer service, giving an address somewhere down Newgate Street in London. His accent was South Asian or something, made it tricky to catch everything he was saying, plus I can't remember the name he gave me. He claimed my phone number and bank details were somehow being used out in the Californian mountains to get into my Amazon Prime account. Then he said I needed to get on a computer so he could set up some sort of customer ID reference to lock my account. I found it fishy right away since I don't have an Amazon Prime subscription; my missus does, but on a separate phone number though with the same card. I refused to use my PC or share any details. I told him I'd just call Amazon Prime myself because this felt dodgy. He then told me I was wasting HIS time! Bit cheeky if you ask me.
