So I got a call saying I’m supposedly owed £5400 for some overcharge or something. They gave me a reference number and said a bloke called Daniel Piper would ring me back tomorrow to sort it out. Thing is, he already had my name, address, and date of birth - it felt a bit dodgy to be honest. I’m not planning on handing over any info, just waiting to see if he actually calls. The weird thing is he sounded Asian but had a really British name, something I can’t quite remember now.

Got a call about a cheque for £5000 supposedly linked to some banking fees. He gave me a reference number and said he’d call back tomorrow at 4pm. The odd thing is, he knew my name, birthday and where I lived, which made me suspicious. When I asked if it was a scam, he actually told me his name. Still not sure what to think about it.
