Got a call last night from someone sayin they were with Halifax's fraud department. They wanted my bank info so they could supposedly give me a refund for some dodgy activity on my new account. I’m pretty sure Halifax wouldn’t ring me on my home phone, especially not on a Sunday evening. Seems like a right scam to me!

BEWARE! This is a TOTAL SCAM. Don’t get tricked by these fraudsters. Loads of folks have reported losing a lot of money to these disgusting scams recently, especially this September. These scams are getting more common so NEVER hand over any private info or bank details. If you get a dodgy call, message, or letter, report it to Action Fraud straight away. Also, make a post about it on social media and encourage others to share it - this has worked well to warn others off. Cheers for helping fight this problem!
