Got a call from 07931 165344 today. A woman with an accent I couldn’t place claimed she was ringing from O2 saying I could get a 30% discount on my bill. She mentioned sending me two texts and said I had to tell her the code from the second message. The second text clearly stated: *Be alert to fraud* NEVER share this code, even with O2 staff. To access your My O2 account, enter code xxxxxx. When I pointed out that the message said not to share the code with anyone, including O2, she brushed it off saying that warning wasn’t for this call. Then she asked for my email, which she should’ve already had if this was legit. When I refused, she just hung up. If O2 really wanted to offer me a discount, there'd be no need for codes or personal info like email. Definitely a scam and could’ve lost money if I'd given her that code.
